Battery AH Explained
The best way to describe battery amp hour is that this is effectively the size of your fuel tank, the more amp hours your battery has then the longer the battery will last between charges. More amp hours does not increase the power of a given tool.
Battery Voltage Explained
A tool with a higher voltage than another is a bit like choosing an engine in a car, the higher voltage will generally mean higher power & performance. As with cars though a bigger engine does not always translate to better performance so it is important to compare the specifications of tools at different voltages between different manufacturers.

Read 4 Customer Review(s) for DeWalt DCE530 18v XR Cordless Hot Air Heat Gun
Great compact heat gun with plenty of heat production to do even the toughest of jobs.
Just what I was looking for nice tool
This heat gun is severely Asthmatic. When I tried to use it the first time I thought that the battery must be flat - because the heat gun barely blew any air. I charged the battery but the result was still the same. Then I thought that it must be faulty. So I checked what other people have said about it and it turns out that it is how it's designed. I regret buying it. May be it could be used for model making at best. You can't strip paint or dry a wet surface with it. It's little more than a soldering iron.
I bought this tool for heating up flashing. This tool is so bad that after reading other people's reviews I'm wondering if it is faulty. I have no problem with the features and heat options, but the delivery is hopeless. The fan that blows the heat out is ridiculously underpowered. If there is even the slightest breath of wind the heat does not seem to reach the work even when held 20/30mm away from surface. Build quality is ok once you get used to how light this is compared to your other xr kit. Would love to hear if anyone else has had similar problems to me this near enough unusable very disappointed as waited for years for dewalt to bring out one of these.

Customer Questions & Answers
Q : What is the diameter of the nozzle built into the tool? Do nozzles come as standard diameters? Are there a variety of nozzles to fit this heat gun, e.g. welding nozzle? Many Thanks.
A : I'm not sure on the exact diameter, but according to DeWalt the nozzle on the DCE530 "is the standard size of traditional heat guns, allowing attachments from corded units and other brands to fit with ease" so you should be able to fit a variety of aftermarket accessories as well as the two nozzles supplied as standard
Q : false advertisement, fake! Says £99.95 Sold @ £259
A : I'm not sure where you're seeing this advertised, however I can confirm this is currently available as a bare tool for £99.95, though we also sell it in various kit forms - the price of which will increase depending on what is included with it. Sometimes third party links can display inaccurate or outdated information but I'm afraid this is not something we control
Q : Does this come with the 5ah battery and charger (IT SAYS SO IN THE ADVERT) but doesn't say so in the description? This is a huge factor for me weather I buy or not? Thanks George
A : Hi George, this tool is available in a few versions with or without batteries - once you have selected the kit you require (in the green box at top right) the price, description and image will change according to the model you have selected
Q : Do you have any idea how long a 5Ah 18V battery will last? I guess that it will operate on a battery for just a couple of minutes.
A : Hi Jacob, DeWalt haven't published runtime specs on their UK site, but it has been available as more or less the same tool in the US for a bit longer, and the US website says you can expect to get up to 42 minutes of runtime in low power mode with a 5ah battery (with model DCE530P1) so in theory you could expect similar performance over on this side of the pond - no mention of how quickly it drains the battery on high power mode unfortunately
