Battery AH Explained
The best way to describe battery amp hour is that this is effectively the size of your fuel tank, the more amp hours your battery has then the longer the battery will last between charges. More amp hours does not increase the power of a given tool.
Battery Voltage Explained
A tool with a higher voltage than another is a bit like choosing an engine in a car, the higher voltage will generally mean higher power & performance. As with cars though a bigger engine does not always translate to better performance so it is important to compare the specifications of tools at different voltages between different manufacturers.

professional and powerful tool
Reviewed before having used the drill fully but the service from Tooled-Up is to be recommended. Good price, on time delivery and good phone service when I needed a little help to register for the Dewalt extended guarantee.
good product
I recently converted all my power tools to cordless DeWalt and was pretty happy with what I had. This drill, although still excellent, light and powerful and decent enough value with the 5aH battery, is definitely not as well made as previously. I see DeWalt flooding the market with new models and I am concerned about the quality declining as production is pushed. Buying American used to be a safe enough bet in power tools, but I am not so sure now and I will be more careful if I consider any other tools.

Q : Hi Does the drill come with a battery or is it supplied bare?
A : Hi Philip, it is available in three options at the moment - you'll notice that next to the price there's a green drop down menu where you have to choose batteries, charger and case. Once you've chosen a variation it will display the appropriate price and stock availability.
Q : Hi, looking at getting the DCD796 pack with 5ah battery, charger and case. Also looking at getting a second 5ah battery. Query is, and this might be obvious, but, will the case that comes with the drill pack have space for the additional battery?
A : Hi Mas, all the models I've seen previously have come in a case with two battery compartments so unless they've changed the design I think you should be fine yes

This product carries a full 3 year manufacturers warranty covering both faulty materials and faulty workmanship, it does not cover general wear and tear or damage, batteries, blades, bulbs and other consumables. In the unlikely event of a fault the item returned is subject to fair wear & tear and must not have been used beyond the scope of it's design. Please note that cordless products will normally have a shorter warranty of just 1 Year for the battery and or charger supplied.
Some manufacturers will offer a direct repair or replacement service (as applicable) which will often resolve your problem more quickly.
We will exchange or refund within the first 30 days if a manufacturers fault is found with this product. Thereafter a repair or exchange as appropriate will be offered.
