VERY HAPPY WITH PRODUCT
Excellent product delivered on time! Painted my room with no mess in one day! Very happy!
Quality product, which serves its purpose
Bought this to replace dulux paint pod took me 3 hours to paint my lounge walls andcelling room size is 22 by 14 quick and easy to use easy to clean just watch the videos on YouTube before using really helpful
Tooled up were brilliant, this is not a review of them. However, this roller brush was not. It looked nice, felt light weight and seemed to have some good features but in reality it was none of things. The bit that sucks up the paint didn’t have a way of sticking to the side of the paint tin so kept moving about and getting me covered in paint, the trigger kept getting stuck and not pushing out paint, both of which I could have ignored as it rolled quite well ........ but then the after about maybe 30mins of painting the metal s bend that holds the roller brush bent while I was painting, I bent it back and then happened three or four times before it snapped off. Cheap rubbish, will never purchase black and decker painting equipment again if that’s the quality they produce.

Customer Questions & Answers
Q : How do you get the remainder of paint out of the small tube on a Black and Decker speedy roller. Thank you
A : Hi Sue, the user manual is available to view in PDF form at the bottom of our product page - this has a section on how to clean the roller which may hopefully answer your question? (on page 8)
Q : could this be used with stain blocker paint - polycell One Coat Stain Stop-to cover a ceiling
A : Hi Craig, having looked at the usage instructions for both of those products I can't see anything that suggests there would be any problem. I think you should be able to apply it with the roller just like a standard indoor paint - I would guess if there was any issue it would be that it may be trickier to thoroughly clean the tool after use compared to standard emulsion, but I don't have first hand experience of this so I don't really know to be sure.
Q : item bdpr 400 and spare roller . Can this be delivered tomorrow . Thanks neil
A : Hi Neil, unfortunately it's now past cutoff for same day despatch so the earliest we'll be able to send it out the door is tomorrow
Q : Can this be used on artex ceilings? Thanks
A : Hi Miranda, the user manual says the BDPR400 is suitable for walls and ceilings but they make no mention of artex specifically. I'm not sure if you meant to ask whether it's safe to use on artex ceilings or whether it will give satisfactory results, but it may be worth checking with Black & Decker to see if they have any specific advice as I've not got any experience in trying this and wouldn't want to give you the wrong information! (artex should be treated with caution as it often contains asbestos but it also comes in a wide variety of textures and I'm sure some will be more difficult to paint than others)
Q : Are the rollers special to the device or can you use any standard roller sleeve?
A : Hi Mel, this tool is only designed to work with the Black & Decker roller covers listed in the "Accessories for this Product" section of our website (they have perforations in them which allow the paint to seep through to the outside of the roller)
Q : Hi, is this suitable for painting the exterior of a house if I used the textured roller attachment (walls are pretty smooth but not as smooth as an interior wall. Will it take masonary paint in the tube pipe as it would emulsion? Thanks
A : Hi Kate, Black & Decker say this tool is only suitable for painting interior walls so this wouldn't be a recommended application - as such I'm afraid I don't know whether it would actually work with masonry paint or not but they may be able to advise further if you contact their product support team.
Q : How easy is it to clean after use
A : The roller can be detached and rinsed off as you would with a standard paint roller but cleaning out the tube takes a bit more time - the recommended cleaning process is outlined in the user manual which is available to view in the downloads section at the bottom of the product page if you want to take a look
Q : Morning Can you tell me the packaging size please ? Thanks Derek
A : Hi Derek, the shipping dimensions we have on our system are 210mm x 94mm x 927mm, many thanks
Q : I see no reservoir attached to handle, how is it taking the paint in?
A : I can confirm that the paint reservoir is built into the shaft.
Q : Do you have to dilute the paint
A : I can confirm that this will work with standard emulsion paint without the need to dilute.
